Join us protesting the U.S.-backed attempted coup in Venezuela on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Hennepin and Lagoon Avenues in Minneapolis.
Saturday, February 23: Coordinated day of local actions:
U.S. Hands Off Venezuela
No Coup; No Sanctions
No U.S. War on Venezuela!
1:00 pm - Gather at Hennepin & Lagoon Aves, Minneapolis. Be part of a visible anti-war presence, say no to U.S. intervention.
1:30 pm - Anti-war visibility at nearby busy corners.
2:00 pm - Closing rally.
On Saturday, February 23, 2019 protests will be held in cities across the U.S. to speak out against U.S. intervention in Venezuela. The Trump Administration is attempting to orchestrate a coup in Venezuela, including threats of direct U.S. military intervention. Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves in the world and the second largest gold reserves, as well as diamonds and other minerals, resources that could make it the next target in the endless series of U.S. wars, interventions and “regime change” operations. Join the February 23 protest to say NO to new wars and interventions.
