The WAMM Movie Committee will be showing “Emma Goldman” on Monday, October 14 from 7 to 9 pm at 4200 Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis.
To the tabloids, she was “Red Emma, queen of the anarchists,” but Goldman was admired for her defense of labor rights, women's emancipation, birth control, and free speech. Goldman (1869―1940) was a life-long anarchist, feminist, activist, speaker and writer. For nearly half a century, Russian emigrant Emma Goldman was the most controversial woman in America, taunting the main-stream with her fervent attacks on government, big business, and war.
