Fighting Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism

  • East Side Freedom Library 1105 Greenbrier St Saint Paul, Minnesota 55106 (map)

This workshop is one in a series being presented by our friends in RISE: Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment. Additional workshops will take place in several locations, including ESFL in September and November. You can find more information on RISE’s website, at You can also register for individual sessions or the entire series at this address.

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white has no superiority over a black nor does a black have any superiority over a white — except by piety
and good action.” —Prophet Muhammad (saw) the Last Sermon

The Sisterhood is excited to announce a new series to address anti-racism and work towards dismantling white supremacy. By following the Prophetic model, we are rooted in the Sunnah and reminded of the diversity of identities and how we show up. This series will provide language, examples, tools, techniques and most importantly sisterhood in order to change a system.

We are partnering with Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community, National Council of Jewish Women, and the East Side Freedom Library to host interactive, thought-provoking workshops. Location will alternate between Northside Economic Opportunity Network (NEON) and the Eastside Freedom Library.

Each session is priced at $15.00, but if you plan on attending all 6 sessions, you can purchase at a discounted price of $75.00. Dinner included. We want to make sure this series is accessible to everyone. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, please email RISE at contact@revivingsisterhood.
