Cargill: stop burning forests

  • Interlachen Country Club 6200 Interlachen Boulevard, Edina, Minnesota 55436 (map)

The Amazon is still burning. And we know who is at fault: it’s Cargill.

Cargill CEO David MacLennan is speaking at the Interlachen Country club on Nov 14. We’ve decided to show up too.

Cargill is buying up commodities from some of the most unscrupulous traders in the business, who are burning down the Amazon and bulldozing forests such as the Brazilian Cerrado.

Minnesotans have had enough.

A new report from Mighty Earth documents the decades of environmental destruction, indigenous land grabs, and indigenous rights abuses brought about by Cargill (mightyearth.org/cargill).

This Thanksgiving season, let’s join together to demand of Cargill:
No more burning, stealing, and exploiting lands of indigenous people and rainforests
Embrace regenerative ag that keeps the carbon in the ground and preserves clean air and drinking water

David MacLennan recently said his company will *not* follow through on its prior commitment to eliminate deforestation by 2020.

This. Is. Not. Ok.

We will converge at Interlachen Country Club at 630 AM, right before David MacLennan’s talk there begins.
