At 11:00 a.m. the bells will be rung in honor of Armistice Day (the war to end all wars). 20 W. 12th St. Saint Paul, MN 55155.
VFP Chapter 27 member Larry Johnson is organizing an Armistice Day Walk to the Liberty Bell at the Veterans Administration Building. Please Join In.
Before the Bell Ringing there will be an Armistice Day Walk to the Liberty Bell at the Veterans Administration Building (see above). Bell ringers include six VFP members who made bells in 2013 with Gita Ghei, as well as several dignitary veterans, like Walter Mondale, organized by Rebecca of City of Bells. All are welcome at the 10:45 event, as well as joining the walk.
There are several places people can join in to the walk, if they wish, but suggest let Larry know at firstname.lastname@example.org so he can let you know of any changes.
The walk will start at 6:30 a.m. from the main post office in downtown Minneapolis, the door at Marquette and 1st St. At 7:45 a.m. we arrive at Court West, 2610 University in St. Paul, the building housing the office of Nonviolent Peaceforce.
Those who choose to may meet for breakfast at 8:45 at the White Castle at Lexington and University. All are welcome to walk. This is where most will join in, maybe three miles out from St. Paul.
The final join in spot is the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol, facing the Mall, at 10:15. From there we will walk down the Capitol Mall to the Liberty Bell.
