MN-NAME (Minnesota's Chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education) will host its annual conference, Insisting on Equity, which will be held on Saturday, October 12th, at Washington Technology Magnet School in St. Paul. In addition to great workshops from local presenters, we are thrilled to have Dr. Eddie Moore Jr. deliver the keynote address and host a workshop.
Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr., is the founder and director of The Privilege Institute and The National White Privilege Conference, which provide opportunities and possibilities for research, publications, speaking and collaborations by those committed to true social and institutional change. Under his direction and inclusive relationship model, the White Privilege Conference has become one of the top national and international conferences for participants who want to move beyond dialogue and into action around issues of diversity, power, privilege, and leadership.
We anticipate this conference will sell out quickly, due to limited seating and the draw of our keynote, so we encourage you to register soon. Schools and other groups can register for a block of tickets and then provide names of participants closer to the conference date. Registration fees range from $40-$50 so that teams of people from your organization can come together, learn, share, and leave with a plan.
