The Saint Paul Area affiliate is beginning a discussion series this month. The topics for the next five months are: Other Constitutions & Imagining Another (video), Net Neutrality & Democracy, We the People 2.0 (video), Capitalism & Democracy, and Divided We Fall (video).

Pre-register at to receive readings in advance of the discussion. Type “Imagining Democracy” in the subject line. This is not necessary but will be helpful for your participation.

April 22 - Capitalism & Democracy (articles)  Is the practice of capitalism the same as democracy in action? If not, is one necessary for the other to thrive? And where does “free enterprise” come into the equation? These questions are important to understanding why our government is the way it is--rather than the way it could be.
